Whitney Collinsworth

Whitney Collinsworth is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about helping people feel heard, supported, and empowered in their mental health journey. She believes effective care combines thoughtful medication management with a collaborative and compassionate approach.

Whitney works with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, stress and burnout, trauma-related symptoms, and life transitions. She takes a personalized approach to treatment, integrating medication management with supportive therapy and practical cognitive-behavioral strategies to help patients develop tools for lasting emotional well-being.

Before becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Whitney spent more than five years working as a nurse in the cardiothoracic intensive care unit. Supporting patients and families during some of their most difficult moments shaped her calm, empathetic approach and deepened her appreciation for the connection between mental and physical health.

Whitney is committed to providing inclusive, culturally sensitive care and welcomes patients from diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ individuals. Her goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and working together toward meaningful improvement in their mental health and quality of life.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and completed both her nursing degree and Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, at California State University, Los Angeles.

When she’s not working with patients, Whitney enjoys dancing, playing soccer, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
